Music. Fashion. Murder?

Ema Nakahara has never killed someone. But when she finally lands her big break as the lead singer of an up-and-coming queer rock band, disaster strikes… and they’ve got a dead manager on their hands.

Murder Girlband was an official comic collaboration with Webtoon: an LGBTQ+ drama/comedy about a girlband trying to survive the cutthroat music industry (literally!). We blended genres to create a zany coming-of-age story about the bravery of being yourself, no matter the cost.

I was the writer on the series, responsible for creating the characters, outlining the story, and writing scripts for 69 full episodes. I collaborated closely with a team of artists and producers to bring the story to life.

Murder Girlband currently has 5.8 million reads and over 158,000 subscribers. You can read it here!
